A free Android app for kids 5 to 12
Sing a song. The bird brings the band.
Your child sings, and a friendly blue bird turns the singing into a whole song: it sings along, their voice becomes instruments and a choir, drums join in, and their own critter dances to it.
One whole song free. No ads, no accounts.
How it works
No music lessons needed. If your child can sing (or hum, or shout a tune), they can make a song.
-
Sing
Tap the big red button and sing anything: a made-up song, a favourite rhyme, a hum. The bird listens and sings along.

-
Add the band
Their voice becomes piano, strings, winds, brass, guitars, bells or bass. Drums fit the singing, and copies of their voice make a choir.

-
Shape the song
Birdband splits the song into verses and choruses. Move them, copy them, and make parts louder or quieter.

-
Dance
Build a critter of their own and it dances to the song. Pick its moves, or let it surprise you.

Made for kids
Birdband is built for children and the grown-ups who look after them. In plain words:
- No ads. Not now, not later.
- No accounts. No sign-in, no email, no profile.
- No tracking. No analytics and no third-party trackers. We don't collect personal information.
- Songs stay on your device. Recordings are never sent to us. The app works without the internet.
- Sharing is up to you. It's off until a grown-up turns it on with a PIN, and songs go phone to phone, never through us.
- No pressure to buy. Buying only happens in the grown-ups' area, behind the same grown-up check.
Share songs in person
When a grown-up has turned sharing on, your child can send a song to a friend's phone nearby with Android Quick Share, or through any app you choose. Before a song goes, Birdband reminds them to share only with friends and family they know.
Songs friends send are always free to play. Friends who don't have Birdband yet get a code to scan to find it.

What it costs
